Expanding Minds

This space is for sharing articles, web sites, information that help me think about the world differently, or simply look at it closer.  I'm working on finding a way to make this open for followers to add and comment...

Multimedia Feature from The New York Times: "Gaining Confidence From God," about Kailey Jeanne Cox, a 15-year-old Christian lesbian who has come out, bolstered with the confidence that she believes Christ is her savior and God is love.  You don't see many stories like this one.  It is refreshing and I want to hug this young woman.  *Have the volume switched on for commentary during the automatic slide show.*

Personal Courage

Glenn Beck's special episode (4/27/11) on "The Importance of
Personal Courage" is available online.
His point is that personal courage seems rare today;
far too many of our neighbors are willing and eager to
look away or not get involved when someone needs help, even if it is life-threatening.
**I recommend it to Beck fans and non-fans.
Remember, this is about examining issues from
more than one side, opening minds, thinking for ourselves.**
